The ENERGY INTELLIGENCE CENTRE FOUNDATION
Is a public-private institution whose main objective is to foster and lead the energy transition towards our economy’s decarbonisation, while maintaining the competitiveness of our companies and turning them into international benchmarks.
The entire Basque ecosystem of renewable fuels must be harnessed, from product to final use, throughout its entire industrial value chain.
Its aim is to be a strategic hub where companies will find unique infrastructures and services of high added value, accelerating technical and product developments, attracting investments and talent.
Its strategic objectives include:
- Fostering the industrial energy transition to advance towards a decarbonised economy.
- Being a competitive smart development centre within the market, technology and regulation and a forum for knowledge-sharing.
- Driving cutting-edge technology development through R&D&i.
- Achieving greater visibility and international renown as an energy transition hub.
- Attracting talent and investments.
The EIC Energy Intelligence Centre will roll out its strategic objectives and develop its portfolio of activities, projects and services, centred around the following actions:

- Development and evolution of technologies and products towards efficient decarbonisation.
- Advanced development and manufacturing of subsystems and components for the energy sector, which allow Basque companies to uphold their international leadership.

The action areas, therefore, are the following:
- Market intelligence
- International promotion
- Talent and investment attraction
- R&D&i projects
- Technological services
